Frequently Asked Questions
Please read the following information carefully before completing the Mercy College Registration Form.

Registration

Pre-registration is required for all classes to best accommodate books and other handouts. The decision to run programs is made five days prior to the class. If registrations do not meet minimums, classes may be cancelled. Participants will be notified by phone as soon as cancellation is determined and your payment will be returned. If your employer will be paying the tuition, please note this on the registration form. It is recommended that you send your registration form directly to the Continuing Professional Education department to reserve your place while your employer processes the payment. If you need any special accommodations,please call the CPE department to discuss the details.

In person
Mercy College of Northwest Ohio is located at 2221 Madison Avenue in Toledo, Ohio. Our office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

 

By mail: Send your check or money order to:  Mercy College of Northwest Ohio, Continuing Professional Education,  2221 Madison Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, 43604.

 

By phone: Use your Visa/MC/Discover to register, at (419) 251-1799. To register for a course, if you get our voice mail system:

  • Leave your name, address, daytime and evening telephone numbers, the classes for which you would like to register, and your credit card number and expiration date.
  • As long as we have all the information, we will immediately process your registration. If we have any questions, we will contact you.

By fax: Fax the completed registration form with your Visa/MC/Discover card information to (419) 251-1711, 24 hours every day.

On the internet: You can register here at Mercy College website by clicking on the button below. Please remember to read the "Things You Should Now" section, above, before proceeding. If you have any questions, email us.

Cancellation/Refund

Mercy College reserves the right to cancel a class for any reason. Registrants will be notified of cancellations in a timely manner, and refunds will be processed within three weeks of the scheduled cancellation. If the college cancels a program, your full tuition will be refunded. If it is necessary for you to cancel, your tuition, less a $10 processing fee, will be refunded if requested seven days prior to the program start. No refunds, only credit, will be given if cancellation notice is less than 7 days. A substitute attendee is possible anytime. Mercy College reserves the right to substitute equally qualified instructors at anytime should the need arise.

 

Inclement Weather. Mercy College will not issue refunds for classes which have been postponed due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We will however make every effort to reschedule such classes. Listen to our local radio or TV station for postponed classes.

 

Financial Aid

Student financial aid, loans or grants do not normally cover courses taken through the Department of Continuing Professional Education. There are however, opportunities for loans that participants can initiate through outside agencies. Further details can be found on their web sites or by calling directly.

Location/Classrooms

Mercy College of Northwest Ohio is located at 2221 Madison Avenue in Toledo, Ohio. Free, lighted parking is available in a parking garage off of Jefferson Ave. Parking in the surface lots after 5pm is also permitted. After parking, enter the building through the main entrance of Mercy Healthcare Center under the teal awning. Some of our classes are located in the College academic center, which is accessed by taking the elevators on your right to the third floor. Classrooms are numbered.  The Therapeutic Massage Lab, the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Conference Center and classroom 3702 are reached by following the hallway by the pharmacy around to the left until you reach the first set of  elevators, labeled number 11. The Therapeutic Massage Lab is on the first floor, the CPE Conference Center and Rm 2704 (computer lab) are on the second floor, room 3702 A and B is located on the third floor, and the fitness center is on the fourth floor. There is a security desk just inside the main entrance of Mercy Healthcare Center if you need assistance with directions.
